Sunday rituals

In spite of not having to be anywhere Sundays, I think I actually plan them out more than any other day. Maybe I like the control , maybe it helps me feel prepared for the week ahead. I often feel like without a plan the day can just slip by. Unless I have something more exciting planned my Sundays are pretty predictable. I usually spend a good hour doing nothing but being a bum a drinking coffee and doing whatever. I head to school, often around 11 when npr news just happens to be starting so I can listen to it while I check fish or prep a pcr. I spend about a half day working, then I come home, do a little tidying up or whatever else needs to get done and then call my parents, cook dinner (again around  6 when npr news is on again), then head to yoga at 7. When I'm back I usually take a shower, talk to Charlie, and then I will read or watch an episode of something before going to bed. If this type of day feels boring I can always do something else instead, but usually the calmness of this day is usually a prescription for a start of a good week. I especially have found the yoga to be great, in the past I've gotten too focused on everything thing that needs to happen that week and it can create a lot of anxiety. Speaking of yoga, I had not gone in two weeks and today it kicked my butt. I didn't think two weeks would make such a difference but I felt like a big bowl of noodles by the end!
